The News
Tuesday, 11 November 2008

The Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club is currently asking the members of our club and people of our community to help us in creating a great food & beverage establishment that everybody can enjoy and what people want in our city and club regarding food & beverage.  We are currently asking everybody to fill out a survey regarding the Food & Beverage operation.  If you have not received a survey via e-mail, mail then you can pick one up at the club and return when done.  IF YOU HAVE FILLED ONE OUT ALREADY, THEN PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AGAIN.

Your input is much appreciated. Thank You

YACHIW WINS LADIES CASH SPIEL
The News
Monday, 03 November 2008

The 2008 edition of the SWCT Ladies cash spiel wrapped up on Sunday, Novemebr 2nd at the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club. Sam Yachiw and her rink of Robyn Silvernagel, Brett Barber, & Krista White from Saskatoon defeated another Saskatoon team, Patty Hersikorn and her team of Debbie Folk, Jill Shumay, & Shelley Madsen.

The final game was a great game!! Yachiw stole one in the 8th end to tie the game. In the extra end, Yachiw had it set up in her favour and Hersikorn needed to make a nose hit and stick for the win but was just a little off and rolled too far to give Yachiw the victory.  Yachiw, the runner up from last years event takes home the first place prize of $2,900 and Hersikorn takes home $1,650. Great job to both teams.

Yachiw advanced to the final defeating the Stephanie McVicar team of Saskatoon and Hersikorn defeated Rene Meitteinen. McVicar and Meitteinen each took home $900 for their semi final appearance. In the quarter final games McVicar defeated Lindsay Murray and Meittinen defeated Tracy Streifel. Murray and Streifel each took home $550.

Overall, the bonspiel was a great success and great job to Keri Sapsford and the Business Ladies club for running the event. We look forward to next years event.

Next up for the PAGCC cash spiels is the Senior / Master cash spiel on November 15th & 16th. Contact James at 765 - 5203 to enter.
