2008 CANADIAN SENIORS LESS THAN ONE WEEK AWAY

The 2008 Canadian Senior Championships is less than one week away. The host committee is in final preparations for the event. There are daily draws starting Sunday March 23rd, with the final set for March 30th. Week pass or Day pass tickets can be purchased at the club office 765 - 5203:

Week Pass = $40

Day Pass = $10

Last Draw = $5

Closing Banquet = $25.00

Come watch some great curling all week!!!

CORRIVEAU RINK MAKES PLAYOFFS AT PROVINCIAL JUVENILLE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jeremy Corriveau's rink from the PAGCC were playing at the Provincial Juvenille championships this past weekend. Jeremy qulaified for the page playoff system out of the C event and earned a berth in the 3 vs 4 game. In that game they came up a little short. Great job to the team on advancing to the playoffs and on a great season.

 
MAYOH LOSSES IN SEMI FINAL AT PROVINCIAL MIXED

The Ian Mayoh rink lost the semi - final at the 2009 Provincial mixed championships at the Sutherland curling club in Saskatoon. Mayoh got to the page playoffs by qualifying out of the C event. In the 3 vs 4 games Mayoh defeated Bryan Derbowka to move on to the semi - final where he faced Carl DeConinck Smith. In the semi final, Mayoh came up a little short to Smith. Good job to the Mayoh rink on advancing to the semi.
 
DONN GOERTZ WINS A EVENT OF MENS BONSPIEL

The 2008 edition of the Men's open bonspiel wrapped up on Sunday. Donn Goertz captured the A event by defeating the Eugene Hritziuk rink in an extra end. In the B event the John Hemstad rink defeated the Danny Gareau rink and in the C event the Doug Phelps rink defeated the Cliff McBeath rink. Good job to all teams and to the winners, look forward to seeing everybody next season!!
 
MCMULLEN WINS THE SENIOR SECOND HALF

The Glen McMullen rink captured the Orville Hjertas trophy winning the second half of the senior men league. McMullen defeated the Hubert Houle rink in the A - B game. McMullen defeated the Harvey Skrudland rink in the B event Mac Carment Cup and Houle defeated Ted McKeand in the A event Ross Homer cup. McMullen will now face the Steve Tonita rink in the 1st half / 2nd half Whitter trophy, the winner will be crowned the Senior men club champion. Good job to all the senior men curlers on a great season. See everybody next year.
