TEAMS MAYOH AND LAMOTTE EARN BERTHS TO MIXED PROVINCIALS PDF Print E-mail

The Mixed regional playdowns were held at the Prince Albert Golf and Curling club this past weekend. There were 11 teams playing for two berths into Provincials next weekend. The Ian Mayoh rink defeated the Lamotte rink to earn the first birth into Provincials. In the second game for a berth the Lamotte team defeated the Wayne Despins rink to earn the spot. Congratulations to the Mayoh and Lamotte teams on earning berths to Provincials and Good Luck!!!!!

The Juvenille regional playdowns were also played this weekend, there were three teams playing for two spots to Provincials. Jeremy Corriveau defeated the Robyn Despins rink to earn the first berth to Provincials. In the second game the Karla Nordquist rink defeated the Despins rink to earn the second Spot. Congratulations to the Corriveau and Nordquist rinks for making it to Provincials and Good luck!!!!

 
TEAM SWIDERSKI LOSSES SEMI FINAL AT PROVINCIAL MASTER PDF Print E-mail

The Jacquie Swiderski rink from the Prince Albert Golf and Curling Club came up a little short on her run to claim the Provincial Masters women's crown. Jacquie finished the round robin portion with a record of 4 - 1, good for a tie for first place.  Jacquie won her the 3 vs 4 game to advance to the semi final against Sandra Pederson who lost the 1 vs 2 game to the eventual winners Lee Morrison. Jacquie came up a little short against Pederson in the semi - final. Congratulations to Jacquie and her team on a great bonspiel!!!

At the Master Men's Provincial, The Wayne Rindahl rink from the Prince Albert Golf and Curling Club finished the round robin with a 1 - 4 record, missing the playoffs. Great job to the team on making it to Provincials!!!

ANNUAL SPRING FLING IS COMING PDF Print E-mail

The 2008 edition of the annual Spring Fling is set for April 18th, 2008. This years event is later due to Good Friday being earlier in the year. This years event will feature comedian Kelly Taylor to kick the show off, followed by the rock music of the Sheep Dogs untill the early morning hours. The clubs main cash prizes for the 40th annivesary draw will also be announced at the show. Get ready to party until late in the evening at the party event of the year!!!

Advance tickets for the event can be purchased at the Curling office, Mandolins or Shananigans for only $20.00!!!!

YOU NAME IT WE GOT IT SALE REPLACES FLEA MARKET NAME PDF Print E-mail

The Prince Albert Golf and Curling Club have announced that it will be changing the name of the annual Flea Market. The new name will be called the "You name it we got it sale" . The sale is set to go on April 11th ( 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and April 12th ( 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ). The sale will have anything and everything up for sale with different vendors, everything from food to sports card, crafts, clothing, toys, etc. We have 25,000 square feet of space for the two day event. If you are interested in early spring cleaning, rent a table for only $32.00 and watch a captive audience of 2000 people come through the doors, weather does not matter, no worrying about raining on your sale. PRINCE ALBERT RINK CAPTURES PROVINCIAL ELKS TITLE PDF Print E-mail

The Prince Albert Golf and Curling Club is home to another Provincial Champion. Dwight Desormeau rink of Blayne Nelson, Michelle Hudon, and Earl Henderson have captured the 2008 Provincial Elks Championship. The team will now compete at the National Championships begining March 17th in North Bay, Ontario. Congratulations on the victory and good luck at Nationals guys!!!!!
