Frequently Asked Questions about the website.
Q. How can I register on this site?
A. Simple -- just click "Register" on the menu located to the left. You must use a vaid email address as the site will send you an authentication email that contains a link for you to click. You will then be returned to the website which then automatically approves your account. (This is a one time process.) From this point on you can log into the pagcc.com website to enjoy the additional features.
Q. Why do I have to register on this site?
A. You don't. However, registered members gain access to additional features of the site such as commenting on news stories and articles; the ability to submit news or articles; the ability to add photos to the gallery; are able to receive the PAGCC newsletter by email as well as other features. Everyone is encouraged to register on the pagcc.com website: you won't receive any spam email by doing so, we hate spam just as much as you do!

Q. I notice you have advertising banners on the site. How can I advertise on the pagcc.com website?
A. All major sponsors of the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club get a banner ad on the pagcc.com website as well as their signage inside our facilities (in the curling rink). Advertising is available on a bulk impression basis, or unlimited for 1 year with an in-rink advertising package. If you would like to advertise on the website, or in the rink, you can contact the manager of the PAGCC by clicking Contact Us in the menu to the left.
Q. Can I add my own pictures to the gallery on the pagcc.com website?
A. Members of the Prince Albert Golf & Curling club are allowed (and encouraged) to add any photos they like to the pagcc.com photo gallery. The only thing we ask is that they are either curling or golf related, and of course, keep it family-friendly. To be able to add photos to the pagcc.com website you must first be a registered member. New pictures added to the website by anyone other than an Author/Editor/Admin will have to wait for an admin to approve the images before they appear on the site to the general public.

A. First, you must be a registered user of the pagcc.com website. Second you must be an approved Author/Editor/Admin to have your articles automatically appear on the website. If you are not an approved Author/Editor/Admin your article will only appear on the website once an Admin approves it.
Q. What are news feeds?
A.
News feeds are news items published by other sources and made available for us to publish on the pagcc.com website. Some example websites that feed news to pagcc.com are CTV.ca and TSN.ca
You will find an abundance of news in our News Feeds section. Most content is fresh daily, some even hourly. It all depends on the source of the news-feed (a monthly magazine might only publish news every 30 days for example). All news feeds are free to anyone using the pagcc.com website.
Q. What is RSS?
A.
RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as news feeds, blogs or pod-casts. You'll notice the little orange icons on the bottom left of pages containing news on the pagcc.com website. Any time an rss feed icon appears it means that article or section of the site is available as a news-feed. Our RSS feeds are cached and updated every 3600 seconds (60 minutes). This means new news from the pagcc.com website will be refreshed and available to your website or rss device hourly. For more information about RSS, you can read the Wikipedia article on RSS.
Q. Can I publish news on the pagcc.com website to my own website?
A.
Absolutely. We've provided numerous RSS methods and even ATOM and OPML methods to publish any article originating on the pagcc.com website to any website, PDA device, news reader or any other software you choose to use.
