Two members from the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club recently competed at the 2008 National Mid - Amateur Championships which were held at the Pheasant Glen Golf Resort in Qualicum Beach, BC on August 19th to 22nd. Martin Ring of Prince Albert finished in a tie for 47th place with a four round score of +19 (307), with rounds of 80,77,74,76. The other Prince Albert player competing in the tournament was Clint Rissling. Clint missed the two round cut and after two rounds had a score of 167 (+23). Great job to both Martin and Clint on representing our club and city very well.!! Another well know name around the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club, Colin Coben was also competing at the event. Colin finished the tournament in a tie for 15th place with a four round score of +11 (299) with rounds of 78,74,74,73. Great job Colin!! The Cooke Municipal Golf Course will be hosting next years National Mid - Amateur Championships on August 15th to 20th, 2009. We look forward to next years National Championship. This will be the 5th National Championship for the Cooke Municipal Golf Course.
