The 2009 Provincial Masters wrapped up on Sunday, March 15th at the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club. The event saw the top 12 Mens and top 11 Womens teams from accross the province playing for the Provincial title. Terry Arnold from Tisdale defeated Vic Rogers in the Championship final to take the Mens crown. On the Womens side, Lee Morrision defeated Crystal Frisk to take the Championship. Both teams will now represent Saskatchewan at the Canadian Masters at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, March 30th - April 5th. Good Luck to both teams. The event was a huge success for the curling club. The event saw a net profit of around $5,000. All the curlers were very happy with everything that was offered, hospitality, ice conditions, banquet with a comedian, shuttle service and the friendly atmosphere. A huge thank you must go out to the Chairperson, Laurel Robinsion and all of her committee as well as the volunteers and all the great sponsors. Without all of these people the event would not of been a success. GREAT JOB!!! The next major event for the Prince Albert Golf & Curling Club is the 2009 - 2010 Provincial Junior Mens & Womens Championships, December 27th - 30th, 2009.
